Open Enrollment is an early-fall ritual where HR gains the opportunity to make important contributions to the company they work for and to help make good choices that impact workers significantly. During this period, HR leaders should be looking for creative ways to engage their employees. In this blog post, we’re going to give you some tips on how to make this process easier. Here are a few tips we thought were most useful:
Keep the focus on your people: The process of open enrollment should be a people-oriented process. During this time, focus on people whose co-workers seek out for advice. After finding this person, ask their advice based on what you have been hearing around the office. Once you get this feedback, don't ignore it, meet the challenges head on.
What are the Needs of your Workers?: Make sure your enrollment efforts from the previous years still hold useful and are updated for your workers. Based on the feedback from last year, make sure appropriate changes are made and address the problems that were brought up. It’s important to be in tune with your employees. The process will be improved by doing so. What failed in prior years? What worked in prior years? Determining the needs of your employees will allow you success.
This process is not easy and it is a long haul, but keeping your employees happy reflects well on your business and makes people desire to continue working for you.
